AGCO Finance has donated £10,000 to support R.A.B.I in its work helping farmers facing the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic and other crises like extreme weather, illness and injury.
“We could think of no better way to mark our anniversary than to make a donation to R.A.B.I. The work that the charity are doing to help people in the farming industry during this challenging time is incredibly important”, explained Saul Jones, Managing Director.
“We can’t quite boast the same pedigree as the R.A.B.I. charity, which I think dates back all the way to 1860, but we are very proud of our history and growth over the last 30 years.
From humble origins, setting up Massey Ferguson Finance in a vacant nissen hut in Stoneleigh back in 1990, the company has grown to become a worldwide business operating in more than 35 countries.
Mark Casement, Director Distribution Management, AGCO, UK, Ireland, Turkey & Middle East explaines further: ”The much-valued partnership between AGCO and AGCO Finance, working closely with our dealer partners, has been supported by many farming families across the UK over the last 30 years. It is fitting that this donation will assist the great work of R.A.B.I., supporting those in greatest need at this time, and we thank them for their continuing commitment to the farming community”.
R.A.B.I – the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution – is farming’s oldest and largest charity. It’s been serving the farming community since 1860. R.A.B.I. offers financial support, practical care and guidance to farming people of all ages, including farmers, farmworkers and dependants.
